Campers enjoy a wide range of exciting activities, which include: recreational & instructional swimming, sports with professional coaches, horseback riding instructions, arts & crafts, field trips, gymnastics, science, music, archery, martial arts, Chalah baking, & more all within a Jewish framework.

CAMP Swimming Lessons

Gan Israel Day Camp is excited to partner with Saf-T-Swim in Melville to offer professional swimming lessons to all the amazing children at our summer program.
The Saf-T-Swim certified instructors prioritize safety and steady progress, ensuring every swimmer builds skills and confidence for a lifetime. 

Horse Riding Lessons

Children have an incredible opportunity to choose high-quality horseback riding lessons as an elective. Lessons are provided by the professional instructors of Bethpage Equestrian Center, offering top-notch training. Campers also enjoy exciting adventure trail rides — all set in the unparalleled beauty of a peaceful, scenic environment.

Dance Lessons

We are very excited to welcome local Half Hollow Hills mom Denise Schinazi as our Israeli folk dance instructor. Gan Israel Day Camp Campers will get to learn choreographing from Denise who has many years of experience teaching dance to both children and adults. She has done workshops and events at SYJCC and Mid-Island JCC and currently teaches Israeli circle dances at Dix Hills Jewish Center.

Weekly feild trips

Included in Gan Israel’s treasure trove of activities is the exciting weekly field trips. Trips are well designed with each age group in mind. Trips include: Adventureland, Urban Air Adventure Park, The Gravity Vault, Skyzone, Go-Karting, Laser Bounce, Pump It Up, Long Island Children’s Museum, Active Kidz, Laser Tag, Bowling & Arcades, White Post Farms and more!​
